The Woodard Report recently featured an article I wrote about continual learning.

Accounting is always evolving. That may sound strange, given that math is math, but new technologies and changing regulations mean that we have to be on our toes to best serve clients AND make sure we have the most efficient way to work. For me, it goes beyond professional competence, though that matters, too. If you’re not continually learning, you get stagnant personally as well. So it’s been important to me to build a culture of ongoing learning to help our team stay ahead and grow in areas that interest each person. And yes, it’s also about giving them space to grow professionally and adapt to change. We’ve found that offering paid professional development and encouraging personal learning goals can boost work-life balance, strengthen your firm’s culture, and take client service to the next level. Check out our thoughts and experiences in the article.
